03 — THE NAME OCEANIDES
Inspired by the guardians of water
Our name comes from Greek mythology. The Oceanids were water nymphs associated with seas, rivers, springs and lakes—the daughters of Oceanus and Tethys. Their connection to water and the natural world became a fitting symbol for a brand committed to giving discarded plastic a different destination.

A material transformed
Our frames are the result of a process that brings recovered plastic back into use through selection, transformation, design and manufacturing.
Suitable plastic material is identified and prepared for transformation.
The recovered material is processed into recycled pellets for production.
We develop shapes, proportions and colour combinations with character.
Each frame is manufactured and checked before it is ready to be worn.

Plastic waste can remain in the environment for an extremely long time. We see it as material with unused potential. By recovering and transforming it for eyewear production, we help reduce reliance on virgin plastic while creating frames with colour, texture and identity.
